We Need More ______ Housing! is an online campaign that refuses to normalize Isla Vista’s shortage of safe, available, and affordable housing. Created by members of the community, we promote local solidarity by amplifying true stories sourced from our student communities affected by the ongoing IV Housing Crisis.
We strive to promote civic and personal awareness within the Isla Vista community on concerns of increasing costs, exploitation, landlord-tenant relations, and the role our governments play in it all through research, collaboration with local service departments, and art production.
We Need More ______ Housing! is executed by a group of UCSB students operating out of the Social Print Lab through a series of interactive artworks via digital and physical media.
